Help the Project
We are enlisting support from many different constituencies to build the momentum
needed to bring the Old Blair Auditorium
back to life for use by area schools and communities.
Please spread the
word to anyone you know who would be interested in supporting the cause.
Here's What You Can Do:
- Sign up as a
volunteer -- Serve on a committee -- Get your friends to join with you
- Send letters to the Editors of local papers
- Help get signatures on our
petition (this will be on-line shortly)
- Join the Auditorium list-serve and respond to occasional
requests for support
- Make a donation.
- Help with graphic design of flyers, brochures,
etc.
- Greet the public for an hour or so at the Auditorium booth at
local festivals
- Track down photos of past
productions that took place on the Old Blair Auditorium stage -- that we can put
on the website and include in our donor solicitation packets and business
partner proposals
- Track down Blair High School alumni who might be
interested in supporting the cause -- particularly those who performed on the
stage or enjoyed being in the audience
- If you are a Blair alum,
organize your class to make a major gift to the auditorium in the name of your
year's class
- Organize community service hours in support of the
auditorium cause
- Get your brownie or girl scout, or boy scout troop,
to rally around the cause
- Think about some creative fundraising ideas
and make them happen
- Make presentations at the local Rotary, Lions and
other clubs inviting financial and in-kind support -- Talk it up at parties --
on the metro -- in the grocery line!
